I never realized there are so many vegans about. So how many cows are worth on giraffe? Is there some exchange rate I can look up? It make not look like an animal when it's packaged up for you at Tesco but somebody had to kill it, and in modern factory farms, it had a terrible life and death. Hunting pays for conservation, and it's acknowledged as a necessary evil by conservationists. Careful what you wish for, without it you'll see a dramatic decrease in animal populations. BTW only in January this year 6 lions were shot and speared to death in Tanzania by locals, angry they were attacking their livestock. Did you hear about it? Nope. Hopefully you'll go look it up now. Guess how much money animal conservation got off that incident? ZERO.
And how many animals are kept in a state of constant agony in our science laboratories? It still goes on in the UK and all around the world. That would probably be a good place to start too!

I am sorry, I must have misunderstood the purpose of the hunt. So, she will be eating all the animals she shot and it's not just for sport? My bad.

@bombbell - And that matters so much to the animal. They look down from animal heaven and think "Oh look, they're eating me, I didn't mind being killed". Makes zero difference. They are dead either way. If you're eating them (like bush meat) and NOT paying into conservation that's actually worse for wildlife. You've been a part of much greater cruelty at home.

Honestly, I actually think there's something wrong with these people. The animals they're maiming and killing are largely endangered, who could possibly think this is OK? Also, most of them will be stationary animals going about their day, so their guides basically take them to an animal and they kill it; hardly skillful of them. These people are not right in the head, I'm sure of it.

Thinks she's untouchable. She'll have to watch her back now

I really do not understand how some people's minds work..how do you wake up one day and decide you are going to hunt and kill some of the world's most beautiful and endangered animals? I'm sure they feel very powerful when really they are cowards with too much time and money!!
ㄴPatrick, Ireland, Ireland
Surprised if she has any money, between the hunting and the obvious plastic surgery.

They don't wake up one day and decide to go hunting. Hunting culture is something in which most of these people participate from childhood.

These hunters really are ugly people, outside and in.

I see some American bellyached and got my comment removed. The good old First Amendment rides again. zombie, it was an American company (KFC) who pioneered the slaughtering of chickens by holding them upside down and running them past a spinning blade. I think you guys are ahead in the "horrendous animal killing" race.

This woman or man whatever is utterly disturbed

I sincerely can't understand the thrill these so-called hunters seem to get. There is no skill involved, no real monetary value earned; and what is there to brag about--that the gun or bow/arrow can kill a defenseless animal?

I believe she wants to be noticed. And she has achieved that. Quit giving her the attention, please.

I think so too and it's weird. Why would you deliberately do something to provoke such negative reaction from so many people?
Red-Stater, Indiana, United States
I believe she wants to make a political statement and using the notoriety of Cecil to do so.... just like all those who have used Cecil's death to further their own political agenda.

I'm surprise she hasn't hunted her plastic surgeon yet. That is one jacked up face. Matches her soul.

It is horrible these animals are killed, but it is equally horrible that these westerners who take advantage of the poverty of those locals who assist them in killing them.
