Okay, so some of the youngsters drank a bit too much. They seem to be having fun, and more importantly looking after each other. Take care.

I had some wicked nights as a student, partying till I went blind, drinking until my face fell off, debauchery.... AMAZING!

I am all for young people having fun but I wish they were a bit more responsible. I spent 70% of my shift last night dealing with students that had overindulged... the vomiting and urinating that was going on in the back of my ambulance (that took us off the road to clean) I could cope with... the abuse and violence I couldn't.

These same student girls will be harping on about women's decency in a few years, having forgot themselves that they also dressed like tar ts in the past !

Having worked and lived in fantastic cities such as Moscow and Rome, I can honestly say that I never saw the drunken, loutish behaviour that you tend to see every Friday and Saturday night in the UK. Yes, people in these cities were drinking, dancing and having a great time, but not fighting with the police, vomiting in the street, making a general nuisance of themselves etc. I just don't agree with the people here saying things like 'Ahhh bless them, first time away from home', or 'They are doing what's called enjoying themselves, so leave them be'. I think there is a big problem in the UK of how people handle their drink, and I don't know what the answer is, but I certainly wouldn't say that this type of behaviour is of any benefit to our society.

At a quid a drink I'd be face-down in a kebab myself, and I'm supposed to be far too old for that... It's not like they're beheading people and blowing stuff up. Let them have a bit of fun.

Doesn't look like much fun. Just all wear the same shirt, drink a lot, fight and vomit?

In the first 6 months 30% of new students get kicked out because they do not have enough motivation or strength of character to apply themselves to the hard work to come.By the end of the third year on many courses 25% of those starting will remain to go on to get their degree. The success rate was much higher when the entry criteria was more exclusive. Here we see some pictures of those who, in my opinion, are wasting the time and money of the taxpayers and destroying their own future. Apart from anything else heavy drinking reduces the ability of the brain to develop the new neurons that it needs to store the new learning. Every time you learn a new skill the brain develops so as to store and manage that learning but this is so inhibited by heavy drinking that you become unable to learn and the same happens with drug taking and the damage may well be permanent. What sad sight this is to see those who look to be failing before they have even started.

So very true, mine is damaged from LEGAL prescription drugs and i am trying so hard to store the information from my law degree and doing well so far, but it is much harder for me, i do not understand why they want to throw the opportunity away because of a few drunken nights!!, have fun but get real now you are adults.
