In the UK we eat Black Pudding ( Pig's Blood ), and rare ( uncooked ) meat. Dare we judge?

Pig's blood is eaten all over Europe. The Italians make even puddings out of it. It is called Sanguinaccio. Delicious.

Younger, I used to eat rare liver with salt, pepper and a drop of vinaigrette, Mium..mium... !

Funny that here in malaysia we are taking up western menu like steaks and lamb rack with gusto abandoning our healthier asian diet. Sigh

it's fantastic, apart from Kimchi which is the devil's creation.

But won't be suitable for people who can't take spicy food :(

Korean cuisine is awesome. Unfortunately most people who derisively comment about it haven't actually spent any time in Korea.

Dog meat is not a common thing at all over there. I don't even think that the majority of South Koreans have even tried it. It's kind of a macho man thing, and it seems to be slowly going out of favor. Now, the rest of Korean cuisine is really special. Even if you're a major meat lover like myself, there are lots of dishes heavy on vegetables that are really something to look forward, like the bibimbab featured in the first photo of this article. I truly miss it.

I had Korean crew on one ship and ate Korean food quite often. I love Kimschi though being a none meat eater I did not go for bulkoki(a beef dish) though it was popular with the officers. Having lived in Japan and enjoyed their food it was not difficult to enjoy the Korean food.

"but don't worry dog meat isn't on the menu." How do you know that?

We want to eat what our new hero and style guru eats. I will have a Kim special please. It's one plate of rice accompanied by ten worshippers taking notes. Scrummy.

Korean food is excellent and until now, only our hatred and ignorance has prevented us from eating it. I've enjoyed it for many years in Korea, but make sure you're eating the real thing and not an Anglicized version.

Until Koreans stop torturing and skinning dogs alive or even cooking them alive I would ban all Korean food. I live in an area that is fighting the dog meat trade- Thailand is trying to stop the smuggling of dogs AND cats to Vietnam -Laos-Cambodia-China and South Korea. We get a lot of bad press but we are the leading country in SEA TRYING TO STOP THIS TRADE! What ever you think of Thailand please help us stop this barbaric dog meat trade.

Eat our own traditional cuisine: we have some fantastic dishes in this country. If you forget our own fayre, we will lose that part of our culture. That Asian stuff is pretty much all the same (yes you may argue there are differences in terms of using either chili, kimchi, wasabi or lemon grass for flavour, but they're all just rice with sides of a little bit of veg and even less meat. Yes rice - that soulless, flavourless, bland mush - is the main, and everything else is but garnish) - and you're hungry again thirty minutes after eating it. Give me a good honest British dish any day. Why do these modern day middle-class snobs always think foreign stuff is superior to our own? Newsflash - it isn't. It's like they are ashamed of where they come from.

As a vegan I have been eating tofu for years. I also don't see why sales of Chinese cabbage and sesame seed are necessarily signs of Korean cooking.

I love all Asian cuisine, Korean food is delicious and a heck of a lot more healthy than some western foods.

I love Korean food and have made my own kimchi. Unfortunately, I recently moved to a small town and there are no Asian food stores so I can't get the dry red chili flakes and other Korean ingredients necessary for so many of the dishes. I currently subscribe to a wonderful Korean cooking website which has quite a following run by a charming and informative woman going by the name Maangchi.

Well, we live in South Korea now and I regularly make/order in restaurants and hotels beef bulgogi, ginseng chicken soup, samgyotang, bibimbap and seasoned spinach namuul which I learnt to make at my Korean cooking classes..
